  The Sacramento River Portal & Library offer internships in Davis and Chico. Interns can take responsibility for organizing specific parts of the library. For example, building a catalog of resources relating to a subject such as barriers to fish passage, or cottonwood restoration. Interns can also participate in outreach efforts or be a moderator for a specific part of the site doing tasks such as reviewing and approving new entries.

  Chico Creek Nature Center

The Chico Creek Nature Center is a non-profit organization which relies heavily on the support of interns. The Nature Center receive over 2,000 hours of volunteer time and services every year and is always looking for interested candidates. .

Sacramento River Discovery Center

Students in 11th or 12th grade or from colleges throughout the region may apply for an internship program at SRDC. A minimum of two hours per day is required. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Discovery Center. Work is in progress on an integrated curriculum that will allow students to sign up full-time for the Discovery Center and get broad credit to complete high school and college requirements.
